What is business real estate, Alberta? Many investors have been investing in real estate in Alberta for the last few years. The reason for this is because Alberta is the fastest and safest form of real estate investing in Canada. And if you are a real estate investor you fall into one of two categories. The first category is where you lend money to someone who is in the business of real estate. This makes you an armchair investor that gets to reap the rewards of real estate without all the headaches of real estate. The second category is if you are running a real estate business. You may or may not use other investors, but you buy houses and either sell them or hold them. Now if you do this part time this is still business real estate, in Alberta. If you are not running your real estate company like a business then it is just a hobby to you.

Business real estate means to run your real estate company like a business. If you have to evict someone because they are not paying the rent, then you do so and you do it now. Here in Alberta rents do rise quite a bit, but so are wages. If the tenant has to not drink on Wednesday evenings to be able to pay rent then that is what they have to do. If you run you real estate company like a hobby, then don’t call me to invest with you, I only invest with those that can make my money make money. And I do the same for those that invest with me in my real estate business here in Alberta.
