What are the Edmonton advertising and marketing techniques that you use? Have you tried every form of Edmonton advertising and marketing? Some of the different types of marketing and advertising that I have tried are the yellow pages, the main one and the secondary one, coupon books, newspaper classifieds, radio, flyers, postcards, and word of mouth.
Yellow Pages for Edmonton advertising and marketing
I found the yellow pages expensive, but was the best form of offline marketing that I have used. Not just any yellow pages, but the main book within Edmonton works the best. I took a course shortly after spending $5,000 on the secondary book, and in the course I was told to spend 95% on the main and only 5% of my phone book advertising and marketing budget. I only received 8 calls for my $5,000 a very expensive lesson. But the next year I was in the main yellow pages and received about 400 calls for $7,000. Of course you never turn all the calls into sales, but this paid for itself that year, never mind the lifetime value of a client and word of mouth from those clients.

When using coupon books I found that I just broke even with only a little bit of extra money. I tried this form of marketing for 6 months and this cost a total of $9,000. I returned about $10,000. So I only made $1,000 for about 45 hours work. Good thing the product I was selling gave me a high hourly rate. But then a funny thing happened. Over the next three months I made an additional $3,000 plus most of those clients called me back over the next year. So this form of marketing and advertising does work, but maybe you want to have some income coming in from other Edmonton Advertising and Marketing before jumping in.

Classifieds worked very well for me. I was not able to charge as high of a price as I could with the yellow pages, but for $300 or so I would make that back within the first week, and the rest of the month was gravy. And you have to remember the lifetime value of a client and referrals for those clients.
