This is the second article in a series on Edmonton Business Opportunities. In this article we will explore multi level marketing or network marketing.

What is the difference between a pyramid scam and a network marketing company? A pyramid scam only makes money for those at the top, no matter how hard you work the people above you will make more money. These are often called money games, where someone gets in and 100’s if not 1000’s of people from Edmonton and other cities get in. Those at the top make very good money and those at the bottom make nothing or next to nothing. Often there is no product involved or just a cheap product that has nothing of true value.

In MLM, or often called network marketing there is a legit product and/or service that is being promoted. The really good systems out there will let you make enough money from the product alone that you do not need to recruit anyone to make a living. The best one that I have found is

I have researched over 100 mlm companies and find that most do not have the criteria for you to make a living without recruiting. And if you only make a living with recruiting you will have a much more difficult time surviving. See for more info on this criteria.
