This is done through many hours of work going back and forth from a keyword suggestion tool and to a search engine to find out how competitive that keyword or keyword phrase is. Then you use those keywords in your title page, headline, through out your articles, and in your anchor text.

2. The second method to increase website traffic with seo is to get incoming links to your site. The links can come from anywhere, but links from higher ranked sites will help you more. The links can also be reciprocal links, but it is better if the links are one way links. Also links from some sites might only give you traffic from the link, like from face book. Where as links from a site like Craig’s list will be crawled by the search engines and help you get indexed and ranked.

Just using these two strategies to increase website traffic will boost your traffic nicely, but there is other ways that are more complex that you will want to look at in the future.
