Multi Level Marketing Affiliate Program

What is the difference between multi level marketing and affiliate programs?

The two are very close to the same, in fact in a sense a multi level marketing affiliate program would be a multi level marketing program that is on the internet. Multi Level Marketing programs have been around for years. Starting many years ago as a legit business, but were shut down many times was Amway. And after breaking the way for others most states, and provinces as well as countries now understand the multi level marketing concept. Of course each company that sells in a multi level marketing or network marketing fashion still have to get registered properly. This is where an affiliate program is different. Anybody can sell anybodies else’s products if there is an affiliate program in place. Most affiliate programs are only first level. Which means that only those that make the referral get paid. In a multi tiered affiliate program everyone can make money from that sale however deep the system goes. But most that I have seen only go 2-3 tiers deep. That is another difference between multi level marketing and an affiliate program, in multi level or network marketing the levels are called levels, in affiliate programs the levels are called tiers.

As far as I no you do not have to register an affiliate program. Which means you could have a multi level marketing affiliate program that may not be legal is done in this manner. I do not suggest it, it will not work for the long term anyway. I think these do not have to be registered since to participate you need to build a website, there is affiliate programs that you do not need a website for, but these are all one tier systems, with a few two tier systems out there.

The way you make money with a multi level marketing company or with an affiliate program are totally different. In an affiliate program you get leads from some where then sell them a product, in multi level marketing you call on friends and family to become business partners with you.
