Edmonton's Silent Auction

Hi:

We are holding a fundraiser silent auction on November 8th.  This is for the Prosper Place Club House

Just to let you know what the Prosper Place Clubhouse does, let me quickly tell you a little about them.  Imagine for a moment that your son or daughter, who you love very much and loves you, becomes ill.  How would that make you feel?  Now imagine that at the age of about 20 years they become ill with a sickness that is different than most.  Might not kill them, but this illness changed who they are, who they were.  They no longer have the abilities to do what they use to always do.  Communication skills go down, and they are no longer the same loving child you once had.  This is devestating to the people this happens to as well as the families they are members of.  Now they have no place to go for any form of entertainment or interaction with other human beings.  This disease is Schizophrenia, and it effects 1 out of every 100.  And many of them live in misery and unhappiness.  This is where Prosper Place Clubhouse comes in.  At Prosper Place these unfortunate people (and anyone with any other form of mental illness) have a place to go to where they can feel comfortable, have some fun in there lives like they once did, and live again!!

This will be a fun night for all.  Good food, good conversation and a silent auction that will have everybody who attends done their christmas shopping by the end of the evening.  Saving tons of money in the process and helping out a great cause.

The price for this event is only $19.00.  You get munchies, a free drink and YOU get to feel really good about supporting a great cause.
